Karen A. Butler was honored to serve as Special Edition Editor for the winter edition of the New York State Bar Association’s Health Law Journal. The focus of this publication was “Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.” Ms. Butler also authored an article for the journal outlining the legal challenges when representing a nurse with a substance abuse problem. Other Thuillez Ford attorneys contributed to this Special Edition including Kelly Monroe (Producing a Nurse Witness in a Medical Malpractice Action), Molly Casey (The Nurse as a Patient Advocate in Disaster Planning) and Daisy Paglia (The Role of Nurses in Securing Informed Consent).
