Successful Verdicts

Cromp v. Ahluwalia

In July 2006 Karen Butler successfully defended an obstetrician in a Herkimer County jury trial wherein the plaintiff alleged an infant sustained an injury to the brachial plexus (Erb's palsy) as a result of medical malpractice by the physician during delivery. Ms. Butler argued successfully that the injury was caused by precipitous delivery and that the physician was not negligent. The trial resulted in a defense verdict (unanimous).
