Fraumane v. Unnamed Emergency Room Physician and Hospital (Montgomery County)
In February 2014 Ms. Butler received a defense verdict in the matter of Fraumane v. Unnamed Emergency Room Physician and Hospital (Montgomery County). The case involved a 33 year old gentleman seen in the ER by the defendant for dizziness, palpitations and arm pains. He was pain free in the ER and all tests were negative except for his EKG which revealed a Delta wave consistent with WPW. The patient was discharged with an appointment to see a cardiologist the next morning, an appointment the decedent did not keep. One week later the patient suffered sudden death leaving a wife and three children. After a two week trial the jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of the physician.
